Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 3 August 2026

Welcome to The Art Cellar. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and your purchase of products from us. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them before buying.

1. About Our Products

Every piece sold by The Art Cellar is a hand-finished art print, not an original painting.

Each piece begins as a high-quality print on archival substrate. That print is then finished by hand, applied in brushstrokes and texture. The result has genuine physical relief, brush direction, and surface depth.

We state this plainly because we want you to know exactly what you are buying. We do not describe our pieces as original paintings, hand-painted reproductions, or the work of the original artist, and we ask that you do not resell or present them as such.

2. Variation Between Pieces

Because the finishing is done by hand, no two pieces are identical. You should expect:

  • Variation in brush direction, stroke pattern, and texture height
  • Variation in surface sheen and how light catches the piece from different angles
  • Slight differences from the photographs shown on this website

Additionally, colours on your screen will not match the printed piece exactly. Screen brightness, colour calibration, and device type all affect how an image appears. We photograph our work as accurately as we can, but some difference is unavoidable.

These variations are inherent to the medium and are not defects. They are not grounds for a damage claim. They are, however, fully covered by our standard 14-day return policy — if you receive a piece and simply don't like it, you can return it free of charge for any reason.

3. Intellectual Property

The artworks. All artworks reproduced and sold by The Art Cellar are in the public domain. Copyright in these works has expired, meaning they are free for anyone to reproduce, adapt, and sell. We do not claim ownership of the underlying artworks, and we do not represent ourselves as being affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by any artist, estate, museum, or institution.

What we sell is our physical, hand-finished object — not a claim on the image itself.

Our own materials. The Art Cellar name, logo, website design, product photography, written descriptions, and marketing materials are our property and may not be copied or used without written permission.

Your rights as a buyer. When you buy a piece, you own that physical object. You are free to keep it, display it, gift it, or resell it. You do not acquire any right to reproduce our product photography or to use The Art Cellar branding.

4. Orders and Pricing

All prices are listed in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs, where they apply, are shown before you complete your order.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, refuse or cancel any order, and limit quantities. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund you in full.

For cash on delivery orders, your order is confirmed once we have reached you by phone or WhatsApp to verify it. We may cancel orders where the phone number provided is unreachable or the details appear invalid.

5. Shipping and Returns

Shipping timelines and delivery terms are set out in our Shipping Policy. Return eligibility, refund timing, and the process for damaged items are set out in our Return & Refund Policy. Both form part of these Terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under Egyptian consumer protection law, including Law No. 181 of 2018, which apply regardless of what is written here.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Egyptian courts.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order. The current effective date is shown at the top of this page.
